There are a few moments in my career that, for me, stand out for the fact that they were unexpected, humbling, exciting and incredibly rewarding. This 10 week exhibition at Derby Museum was certainly one of them! It hosted record-breaking footfall, and led to a change in the way the city viewed our humble trade over-all. The Doctorate and walk-of-fame style star in the Cathedral Quarter came on the heals of this.
I took this in the moments leading up to the opening night. It was a moment for me to take it in, and it helped me figure out what I was going to say at my opening address.
Huge thanks, again, to the museum for hosting my work. It is still hard to believe it actually happened!
