As I’ve mentioned, ad nauseam, a lot of what I’ve been posting online in all the usual places is not getting seen anymore. (Check out my Clickbait and Clickbait 2 posts for more detail on that!) So here is some preview art you may have missed!
First up are two pages from my upcoming 12 page ‘Savage Sword of Conan’ story ‘The Wuthering’, which were debuted at the Frazetta/Conan panel I was on in SDCC. The story will be printed in black and white, so I went to town with the inks (but then, to be fair, don’t I always?)
As many people know, Conan was a huge deal to me as a boy, and it has been a bucket list dream of mine to draw a strip featuring the character for over four decades. It’s such a thrill to finally see that come to fruition!
And here is most of the art I have so far shared for my ‘Spawn: the Dark Ages’ series. This is a six issue book, written, inked and coloured by me. I drew a version of this book 25 years ago and I’m so pleased to return to it! This time we’re in the very earliest days of the Dark Ages, in 5th Century Britain. I’ve tried to give it a real mythic, Shakespearian melodramatic flavour that I hope people will enjoy…

Awesome artwork. I'm so looking fwd to both of these. BWS is just about the only comics artist whose Conan I enjoy reading. And Spawn. Well, the only Spawn I ever enjoyed was the original Spawn Dark Ages.
Man, that is some incredible artwork. Dude, you have some serious Barry Smith vibes going on.
