SALES NUMBERS ARE IN
And I 'think' we're OK... for now.
Orders are in. The new StarHenge series is basically matching the sales of the last issue of the first series. So realistically, it’s far indeed from a best-seller! But it is solid enough - if we can keep the sales more or less consistent through the rest of the run.
My hope is that this is the base audience number, that will stick with it now. And if that’s true then I ‘think’ I can keep going and making more, and keep it growing. But if it tails off dramatically, like the first series did (in which I lost about 2/3 of the readers), then its future hangs in the balance.
I don’t do StarHenge to make a fortune, I do it for love of the medium and to push myself creatively. But it does have to at least pay for itself. That’s just reality - especially if it’s a passion project that barely makes me, as the creator, any money at all. We still have to live! And that means I support this, my most personal work, by doing the most high-profile work-for-hire gigs that I can get. It’s risky, but it’s rewarding!
As always - huge thanks to everybody that has supported my efforts, and StarHenge in particular! You know very well I take none of it lightly!
