True. It was ever the way with Conan material. I think my young, timid self had a wish-fulfilment reaction to it - the desire to be bigger, stronger, and less afraid. It gave me a bit more courage when I needed it, and helped me process the harsh realities of our real lives. For some reason humans are often drawn to violent content and horror. I’ve spent a lot of my career trying to process and understand that, sometimes avoiding this kind of material altogether. But I remain, for better or worse, drawn to it.
