Still a great work! Are you adapting this story for comics? It would be entirely appropriate if you did. It's such an iconic story adapted by some of Marvel's best.
Whenever I'm inking there is always so much white-out. (I remember Danny Miki once saying that white-out is an inker's best friend, or something along those lines...) All the same, I've always been haunted by that Frank Bellamy ideal of creating work that doesn't need retouching. I'm very impressed, to put it mildly, that you are working that way!
I'm a little anal about it to be honest! think I worry too much when it comes to that! I do do some work that requires white-out, but I generally know that going in, that it will be an effect I want to use... :-)
Wow! How can I get this set? This is perfect companion piece for the Savage Sword issues. And by the way those are absolutely amazing a true feast for my eyeballs. Your work brings so much energy and life to me a true pleasure to see. Thanks Liam!
Thanks Larry. At the moment the Lake Como Comic Festival is paying for it, so it's exclusive to the show, and they want it to be an incentive for their attendees, naturally. I'm trying to see if we can make it available through their site at some point...
Hi Liam,
I might be forced to unfriend you, mate. I have always said to you, you should be drawing Conan.
I didn't mean this good though.
LOL
You are giving us all the same excitement we got back in the 1970s with the Conan comics and Savage Sword magazines from back then.
They are a joy to behold and add to that you are writing them too.
Hats off you and thanks.
xx
Aw, bless you mate! I'm glad, when I did get to do it, it wasn't a huge disappointment! That COULD have happened! :-)
I can feel the icy blast. The way the fabric ripples in the wind is beautiful. A stunning piece, Liam!
Hugely appreciated, Steve! Thank you! :)
Your very critical of yourself, it’s a great way to improve in a much faster manner then those that aren’t.
I too am the same, so I know how it feels when you don’t feel like it’s what you wanted it to be, I still miss bits I wanted to add.
That being said, this reads great, keep it up Liam.
All true. :-)

Thank you, but no. It's just a single illo. :-)
That could never have happened, mate. You are too good and conscientious an artist for that.
xx

Man, you nail this IP. So good.
Thank you! :-)
The helm is much more practical than the BWS design. (When you throw out the original, toss it my way, Doc.)
Ha ha! Thanks Gide! I like the BWS original, but it is hard to see it ever being practical. Looks great though! :-)
