I dunno... Work-in-progress posts/videos (I really enjoy watching the kind of drawing/inking videos Frank Cho does, for example); Drawing/inking/painting tips; commissions; perhaps a "free" sketch every year for those that sign up to paid tiers; portfolio reviews for the highest tiers; discussion on the books/comics/music you love and what they mean to you; a look through your bookshelves; how you broke in and how the industry has changed since... Also, don't be afraid to repeat art that you've shown previously, few are going to go back through the archives to check everything is brand new and never-seen-before.
This is why patreon is slightly better, as it has tiers of support, and you can have some stuff for free distribution and other stuff hidden behind the pay wall.
Personally I like a post a day. Doesn't even have to be long, just know you are still fighting the good fight and keeping you head above water is the key for me.
I looked at Patreon, but it would have required more work than I could do or have the kit for, but it's mostly a time thing - I'm swamped all the time currently! I heard from other creators that it is very hard to keep up! I like that here I'm not trapped into specific offers, and weekly things I have to do. It's very organic, which is much more the kind of creator I am. :-)
Mostly it's a post a week. And you don't have to bend yourself massively out of shape unless you offer more then you can give. Look at Adam Warren's one. But I'm just looking at it as a consumer not a creator. So it might be a lot more work then it seems on my end.
Thank you so much - for the comment AND subscription! Hugely appreciated! I do hope to skew positive as much as I can, while also not sugar-coating or presenting a false sense of either who I am or of success (which itself is very subjective either way you choose to look at it!) Thanks again!
You are my most consistent reader and supporter, so huge thanks! It's never really onerous for me, but I don't want to be overloading, or driving away, those who don't appreciate too many post a week. This'll help me figure all that out I hope! :-)
That third page! Its like Gustav Dore!
Thank you!

Cheers Allan. Some of those I'm not set up for, or will struggle to do time-wise, but I appreciate the feedback!

I take whatever I can get. But it does get hard to reply to all of them.
Cheers brother! Not every post needs a reply either. :-)
Liam,
I welcome as many posts as you can do in a week.
I love looking at your artwork, and I also love to hear what is inspiring you (music, art, literature).
Many substacks I have tend to lean towards “the sky is falling” so it’s nice to get inspiration.

So beautiful...
Re posts, I always read all of them. But I'd rather this not be onerous for you.

Hm. 2 a week is rallying...
I accidentally selected two, when I meant to choose one. 🙄
D'oh!
Looks like 1 a week max. Got it!
I'm feeling like I should have put the poll at the end, as I'm not getting any feedback on the second question... My bad!
